Architectonics of Typography

Richard Meier is a known American abstract artist and architect. Meier’s philosophy is strongly about placement and how his architecture responds with nature and light. Space, form, and light are prominent in his work as well as strong contrasts of geometric forms. Ultimately, it is Meier’s goal to evoke people with the dialog between the site and its setting.

This work consists of a book, a poster and a set of cards that are based off Richard Meier’s philosophy of placement. The word that inspired me was “responsive”  which means “reacting quickly and positively.” I applied this to this typography project using the concept of pronouns and punctuation to create a reaction within the piece.
